If that is my old posting, the cross over was in one of my autotmotive journals and it should work fine. I actually used the red version as I had it and it seems to be working fine. You only need a very small bead, mechanical pencil sized of the material as the two pieces are machined and clamped with many bolts. Read an article recently that suggested using an acid (soldering type) brush with 1/2 the length of the bristles cut off to apply a very thin layer if this sealer. It is not RTV (room temperature vulcanizing rubber) but a sealer that seals after the air is cut off and made to deal with minor imperfections in the mating surfaces, not large gaps like RTV will if allowed to set up. I used silver alum filled to fix rock holes in side cases on trail bikes and it works great if you let it set up before pressing on with the adventure. Max.
